The Golf Swing = Mass vs Mass
Rick wrote his first book in 1982 in Grand Rapids, Michigan.
Rick traveled from golf course to golf course and sometimes even on street corners or in a cow pasture to give his golf clinics. People showed up from all walks of life to listen to Rick's lectures and see his demonstrations.
Rick was founder of Alafia Golf in Gibsonton, Florida. He had a full service shop and gave his lessons in a vacant area under some power lines, the only space available. The newspaper article below, was written in June of 1992.
Rick later became partners with Bob Funnell a PGA Professional from Michigan. They opened Funnell's Golf Shop in Apollo Beach, Florida. Below is one of many ads they ran in 1992. Rick gave golf clinics on the street corner next to a sports bar.
Rick returned to his home of Millville, Pennsylvania in 1999. He opened a golf shop and an inside teaching area. He drew people in for lessons from other courses and even private country clubs.
Rick later wrote golf tips and articles for the Press Enterprise, in Bloomsburg, PA
In 2003 Rick was hired as athletic director at his hometown high school. This was a great honor after being away for 40 plus years.
